We’re a locally focused nonprofit backed by the expertise and resources of a national network dedicated to developing and strengthening the healthcare workforce in underserved communities. Since 2001, Hudson Mohawk AHEC has provided career pipeline activities, clinical educational opportunities, and workforce training services in our 10-county service area in eastern New York. Health care is a rapidly changing industry, and we’re working hard to make sure our region isn’t left behind. We recruit new health care professionals to the Capital Region, ensure rural providers in the Adirondacks have access to first-class professional development, and work with local education institutions to minimize “brain drain” by encouraging their graduates to live and work right here in the greater Albany region. Our efforts help to ensure the long-term success and stability of our local health care industry.
